What this format is
Earth still prefers KML in some builds. This is the track as a line, written locally.
How to get the file
- From Garmin Connect
- 1. Export GPX from the activity, then drop it here.
- From Strava
- 1. Activity → wrench → Export GPX.
What is kept and what is lost

Questions
Multiple tracks?
Each GPX track becomes its own Placemark in one KML document.
Elevation?
When the GPX had altitude it is written as the third coordinate.
Waypoints?
Track points only. Standalone waypoints are not copied.
Why not just open GPX in Earth?
Some Earth builds still prefer KML. This is the lossless-enough path for the line.
