Can I drop FIT files here too?
Yes. Merge, split and trim accept FIT and TCX and write GPX.
Does trim delete the original?
No. The cut exists only in the download. Your original file stays on disk.
How does split decide the cut?
A GPS pause longer than the gap you set, in minutes. Two runs in one file is the usual case.
