What this format is
A FIT file is a stream of records. CSV is that stream as a spreadsheet: one row per record, sensors in columns. Indoor trainer files work — GPS is not required.
How to get the file
- From Garmin Connect
- 1. Export original FIT from the activity, then drop it here.
- From Strava
- 1. Request a bulk export and drop a single .fit from the zip, or export GPX and use GPX to CSV.
What is kept and what is lost

Questions
What is in each row?
Time, lat, lon, elevation, heart rate, cadence, power, temperature, speed and distance when the FIT recorded them.
Does this work for indoor trainer files?
Yes. GPS is optional. Records without position still become rows.
Is the FIT uploaded?
No. The spreadsheet is built in your browser and downloaded locally.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Select more than one FIT and you get a zip of CSVs.
